Standard Features
Design and Construction
Like any home, the foundation is the most important element of the structure.The Elkridge frame is a solid rolled steel I-Beam that boasts rugged durability and uncompromising strength. The 10” I-Beam frame stock is shipped in from the steel mill, and when it arrives is quickly sandblasted to ensure no rust or corrosion from the very start. The frame utilizes welded full length outriggers that give maximum support to the outer edge of the main floor which will support the sidewalls. Just like a floor joist in your home, ElkRidge uses steel rod and Z-Bar bridgework supports that give the I-Beam extreme side to side structural integrity. The 10" I-bean frame also offers more than a 25% increase in strength. Not only does ElkRidge increase strength in the frame, but with their axles too. ElkRidge offers 6,000lb axles and 16" Aluminum rims while most competitors only offer axles up to 5,200 lbs and most often have 15" in rims.
A big design advantage of owning an ElkRidge is the improved turning radius and front cap design. Heartland has improved their design to provide for up to a 88o turn, perfect for short-bed, extended cab trucks. The new design, including stylish hitch cover, is also aerodynamic and improves fuel efficiency. The A.B.S hitch cover is also the perfect solution for an ugly hitch.
ElkRidge not only has improved fuel efficiency, but offers the smoothest towing suspension system on the market. Equa-Flex Design does not require any special mounting systems to weld to the frame because it bolts directly into the standard hangers. It is supported with leaf spring shocks to make it the smoothest towing suspension system in the fifth wheel market. Trail-Air is a name synonymous with SMOOTH RIDE!

ElkRidge 5th wheel construction has been subjected to rigid testing in the famous Dometic Extreme Temperature Chamber where it passed with flying colors! During this testing, the interior of the ElkRidge remained pleasantly warm while the outside temperatures plunged to zero degrees. Later the interior of the Elkridge remained cool and comfortable while the outside temperatures approached one hundred degrees! ElkRidge's laminated sidewalls and floor, combined with our insulated, enclosed and
heated underbelly and Plum-Pex water lines - make this fifth wheel perfect for Extended Stay Camping!
ElkRidge Coaches are also designed for extended stay camping, and as such, offer larger tank capacities (90 Gal. Gray, 45 Gal. Black, 75 Gal. Fresh,12 Gal. Water Heater). This allows for a longer duration between dumping and more convenience when camping. They have also designed a universal docking center created for pure convenience. All unit hook-ups are in ONE LOCATION including winterization valves and water heater by-pass valve, all of which are enclosed in fiberglass.

Each ElkRidge is designed with deluxe Hanex solid-surface counter tops, increasing the usability, beauty, and value of our coaches. The advanced blend of natural materials and pure, acrylic polymer is formed over a strong plywood base, providing design versatility and long-term performance. Hanex is one of the toughest counter tops in the world that is both durable and Renewable. Renewable simply means they are the same consistency through and through. If chipped or scratched, they are easily repaired to look brand new. Competitors offer only a thin layer of fiberglass adhered to particle board material. Not only do you durable counter tops, but the Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink also offers a timeless
beauty and functionality.
ElkRidge owners enjoy a residential drawer design that provides for increased storage space; improved operation of the drawers; and stronger, longer lasting drawer that carry more weight!
